UFCU Disch-Falk Field is home of the University of Texas at Austin Baseball Team, and is widely recognized as one of the best collegiate baseball facilities in America. Rogers Moore Engineers, LLC provided structural engineering services for the $18 million dollar expansion, which features new clubs and suites at the top of the upper concourse, as well as a much needed upgrade to the press club. The project also included a new player development area, with a large weight room, locker room and coaches offices.
The super-structure is concrete composite steel framing founded on drilled piers. Structural challenges included upgrading the existing light standards at the end of the canopy and replacement for the existing and conflicting rod bracing.
