University Medical Center Health System
Lubbock, Texas
To meet the increasing health care needs for Lubbock and the surrounding West Texas community, the University Medical Center is expanding their facility with a new four level hospital building, which will provide new labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care, and postpartum units. To accommodate future growth the new hospital was designed for an additional two floors of vertical expansion.
The building super-structure is designed as a steel braced framed with a composite concrete and steel floor system, and the columns are founded on drilled piers.
