As part of an overall master plan for Texas State Bobcat Stadium, the 47,000 square foot Phase 1A West side expansion provides seating for approximately 16,000, including 15 luxury suites and a 440 seat Club Level. Phase 1B will include renovation to the press box and the addition of 8,500 seats for a total seating capacity over 24,000. by the year 2015, the university plans to increase the overall capacity of the stadium to 34,800.
The building super-structure of the stadium for phase 1A consists of precast walls, beams, planks and double-tees, and is supported on straight sided and deep piers embedded in rock.
