Houston Airport System
Houston, Texas
As part of an overall renovation to the existing Terminal D, the new EDS Baggage handling system will bring state-of-the-art technology, security, and efficiency, as well as serve the baggage volume requirements for international travel. The coordination and layout of the new conveying systems had to be perfectly orchestrated to prevent intersecting clashes with existing structure, mechanical systems, or the conveyors themselves. Revit software was instrumental in the design and layout of the system and for modeling the existing structure. Superior team coordination and execution was required for identifying and verifying the supports of the conveyor structure in meeting all serviceability requirements.
