University of Texas / M.D. Anderson Cancer Center
Houston, Texas
Rogers Moore Engineers, LLC provided structural and civil engineering services for the Center for Targeted Therapy (CTT), a 210,000 square foot addition to the Center for Advanced Biomedical Imaging Research (CABIR) located on the South Campus of the University of Texas / MD Anderson Cancer Center. With a $70 million construction budget, the facility will accommodate the replacement and growth of existing research programs.
The superstructure was designed as a concrete cast-in-place beam and slab system, with an emphasis on vibration control. The column loads are founded on drilled and under-reamed piers and an underground tunnel connects the facility to the future Research Park.
