Aviation

Efficiency, Security, Adaptability, and Passenger Safety are all major components for the Design of Airport Terminals and Support Structures.

Healthcare

Hospital and its operations are paramount in the design.   Serviceability and Flexibility are key components in the selection and design of the Building Structure.

Institutional

The Artistry and Emotion associated with the design of a Library, Park, or University Hall must be understood by the Engineer, because the design of the Structure must be in concert with the ultimate vision of the Architect.

Sports

The complexity has increased dramatically. The selection of the structural systems must accommodate the use of Luxury Suites, Clubs and seating for unparalleled event viewing.

There have been tremendous advances in the building design industry, and as a result, the need for specialization in all building sectors has become more readily apparent. Having a primary focus in the Aviation, Health Care, Institutional, and Sports building sectors enables us to not only deliver exceptional Structural Engineering services, but also allows us to better contribute in other disciplines and be better “team players”. Ultimately, it results in a structural design that is not only serviceable, but tailored to fit the Architectural design. To learn more, please review our extensive Portfolio.

Houston Airport System breaks ground on a new IAH Terminal

The Houston Airport System, United Airlines and Houston Mayor Annise Parker held a groundbreaking ceremony for a $160 million redevelopment project at George Bush International Airport January 23, 2012.

Phase one of the three-phase project will create a new Terminal B, south concourse.  It will replace the existing south-side stations with a new 225, 000 square-foot facility to accommodate United Airlines' regional aircraft operations.

"Houston will thrive as our global gateway expands to include more flights and greater access to business connections around the world, " Parker said in a statement.

"Bush Intercontinental is the first impression many people have of Houston, " said Mario Diaz, Director of the Houston Airport System, in a statement.  "We exist to connect people, businesses and economies around the world, and this project will allow for an enhanced customer experience and a stronger gateway for our air service needs."
